I am very fortunate to live in the beautiful Bay Area where I have never experienced a disaster that took away my basic necessities or human rights. I want to help those that cannot say the same for themselves.

This year our board chose to support the victims of disaster; although we may not be able to prevent tragedies such as war, earthquakes or storms happening, we can support organizations that help people in the affected areas be adequately prepared and help them recover after the disaster has hit.

My goal is to raise $1800, a multiple of Chai (18)- the Jewish symbol for life.
